The Problem

International humanitarian and development organizations require advising in identifying the positions of the local actors which play a role in the livelihoods sector and entrepreneurship ecosystem. These organizations require up to date information that is applicable to the region in which they aim to make an impact. Identification of these key actors allows for growth in local capacity and sustainability beyond time-bound interventions and a shift from a humanitarian aid mindset to an economic development perspective.

​We provide practical guidance to legal operation, business success and sustainability for social enterprises in the refugee context through the analysis of business models, target market, product development, digital transformation and potential market linkages through both B2B and B2C approaches. 

 

We examine the role of social business and the ways in which social enterprises can position themselves to enter inclusive supply chains of large corporations or engage effectively in corporate social responsibility partnerships.
